FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: special-design trick capillary device with horizontal tube is used. Tube diameter makes approx 200 mcm and tube length equals 32 mm (modified stalagmometer). Volumetric fluid flow rate is defined by graduate of invariable and small capacity, that is, drop volume, which allows measuring fluid flow rate in fractions of micro liter. This allows recording increase in layer thickness by microscopical value. Considering relation of flow dynamic pressure pulse to capillary length leads to calculation fluid volumetric flow rate. The latter allows defining flow dynamic pressure that orders boundary layer structure in capillary.
EFFECT: possibility to use in development of nanoassembly technology.
