FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: it involves measuring light sum of spontaneous chemoluminescence of whole diluted blood in a luminole solution immediately after blood sampling and 4 hours after incubation; then the light sum difference (LSD) is calculated as the difference of the measurement 4 hours later and the measurement immediately after blood sampling; a normal LSD is stated to be 1%-99% percentile interval of total range of the control reference of healthy donors; the LSD values lower than 1% percentile interval testifies to a lower neutrophil reactivity reserve, while the values exceeding 99% percentile interval shows an oxidative stress process, cell alteration and developing inflammation-destructive process.

EFFECT: method enables evaluating functional neutrophil activity without applying microbial test culture that simplifies examinations and requires no selection of etiotropic microbial culture as the "ХЛ" variation is observed under endogenic substances, including exposure of microorganisms and their derivates in a specific patients.
