FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: high-voltage switch with a disconnector function comprises the first and second contacts; facilities to displace contacts to the first mutual distance and facilities to extinguish an arc arising between contacts in process of the specified displacement, and thus to implement the high-voltage switch function. Displacement facilities are arranged with the possibility of contact displacement, upon arc quenching, to the second mutual distance, exceeding the first mutual distance, to implement the high-voltage disconnector function, consisting in provision of dielectric strength.
EFFECT: higher dielectric strength in a disconnected condition only with the help of increased contacts travel without increasing rated voltage of a switch and using separate high-voltage air disconnectors, which makes it possible to simplify the design with preservation of optimum function of current disconnection.
