The vacuum cleaner comprises a vacuum cleaner housing containing a suction motor, a dust-arresting equipment that communicates with the vacuum cleaner housing, and the dust-arresting equipment separates the dirt, the dirt collector removably mounted on the vacuum cleaner housing, and the dust collector has the dirt accumulator accumulating dirt separated by the dust-arresting equipment, the compacting element compacting dust accumulated in the dirt accumulator, a slot of the magnetic element located on the dirt collector, a magnetic element mounted in the slot of the magnetic element, a cover attached to the slot of the magnetic element to close the magnetic element, and a magnetic-sensitive element located on the vacuum cleaner housing to determine the magnetisation of the magnetic element.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of dirt collection.
