FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of engineering ceramics and specifically to compositions of mixtures for producing cordierite ceramics. The mixture for producing cordierite ceramics contains serpentinite, kyanite concentrate, quartz-feldspar concentrate and hydromicaceous type low-melting clay, with the following ratio of components in wt %: serpentinite - 28-31; kyanite concentrate - 43-46; quartz-feldspar concentrate - 3-16; hydromicaceous type low-melting clay - 7-26.
EFFECT: reduced linear shrinkage make of articles.
