FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: compound based on amine, which inhibits corrosion with formation of white rust, is characterised by general formula: [R]2N-R1X-N[R]2, where each R represents H or -[CH2-CH(OH)-CH2(OH)], at that, not more than one R represents H and either three, or four R represent -[CH2-CH(OH)-CH2(OH)], R1 represents oxypropylene, and X is equal to 1 to approximately 20. Corrosion inhibition method of zinc-plated metal surfaces involves application of effective quantity of the above compound to the above surface so that protective layer is formed and possibility of its repeated application is provided. When using the inhibition method in industrial water supply system that uses zinc-plated surfaces, water pH is corrected in the system from 6.5 to 8.2, the composition that contains one or more above described compounds is added, and water circulation is performed in water supply system to contact zinc-plated metal surface.
EFFECT: higher corrosion protection efficiency.
