SUBSTANCE: method of control of a drum dryer (1) for laundry includes the beginning of the drying cycle or drying for ironing and supply of drying air flow into the drum (5) from its entrance to the exit from it; continuous measurement of electrical resistivity/electrical conductivity between two electrodes (25) mounted on the inner surface of the door; definition of weight of laundry located inside the drum (5); drying air temperature measurement at the outlet of the drum; shut down of the implementation of the drying cycle or drying for ironing if the clothes weight exceeds the threshold, when the electrical resistance/electrical conductivity between the electrodes (25) is above/below the threshold of resistance/electrical conductivity; and shut down of the implementation of the drying cycle and drying for ironing if the weight of clothes is less than the threshold value when the electrical resistance/electrical conductivity between two electrodes (25) is above/below threshold, and the temperature of drying air at the outlet of the drum exceeds the threshold; additionally includes a phase when the weight of clothes in the drum (5) is determined by determining the level of noise in the current values of electrical resistivity/electrical conductivity, measured between two electrodes (25).
