SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of operation of the drying machine with a rotating drum for drying laundry in the drum, comprising the following steps at which: the threshold value is recorded to the memory device of the dryer, which changes with time in accordance with the predetermined profile, and in given points of time of the laundry drying cycle the electrical quantity is measured, indicating moisture content of the laundry at the point of time of the drying cycle; at each point in time of the drying cycle the measured electrical quantity is compared with the threshold value stored in the memory, corresponding to the given point of time of the drying cycle; the time of completion of the drying cycle is determined, based on the results of this comparison.
