SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrical device for ironing clothes, with at least one ironing sole which contains at least one hole for steam-out, with a heating element for heating the ironing sole with a water reservoir, a drip valve, a channel for water, a steam chamber, into which from the reservoir for water through the drip valve water can be supplied to create steam. An electrical device includes a device controlling the amount of steam, which enables to control the amount of water supplied through the drip valve with the valve stem. An electrical device includes a shut-off valve, which is located in the channel for water and is arranged to open when the temperature rises above the predetermined value and to close when the temperature falls below a predetermined value, and also a separate washer, which is located outside the channel for water, and through which water can enter from the water reservoir directly into the steam chamber. By raising the valve stem the locking device of the washer can be opened, thereby through the washer directly into the steam chamber large amount of water can be fed.

EFFECT: efficiency of cleaning, ease of maintenance and low cost of production.
