SUBSTANCE: ironing sole (2), particularly electric steam iron and an electric steam ironing station which comprises a base (4) of the sole for ironing and an aluminium plate (12) of the sole, which is located on the lower side (4a) of the base (4) and is connected to it. The plate (12) of the sole is made of aluminium sheet (20) with thickness (T) of 0.35 to 0.8 mm, in particular approximately 0.4 mm; the base (4) comprises a lower side edge (18) around which the edge region (20c) of the aluminium sheet (20) is plastically deformed, due to which this edge region is connected to the side edge (18) with form closure.
