FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: at the first stage of the industrial control object (ICO), measured values of the process parameter are standardised based on the initial value thereof; based on values equal to 0.1-0.2 and 0.8-0.9 of the nominal value of the process parameter, two time instants are found, based on which the value of transportation delay and the ICO time constant are calculated; at the second step, the time constant is used to determine the discreteness with which values of the process parameter are measured; the measurement time interval, the prediction time range, the variation factor, the value of the prediction time, the weight coefficient of the prediction component, the trend and the predicted value of the process parameter are determined; the prediction deviation is determined; the prediction component is found; control action for the actuating mechanism is then generated through algebraic supplementing of the prediction component based on weight coefficients, and after reaching the prediction time, the process of generating control action is renewed each time.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of industrial controllers owing to introduction of a prediction component when generating control action.
