FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: plasma thermal processing method of solid wastes involves supply of wastes and air to waste gasification zone, combustion of coke residue and ash fusion with plasma jet in fusion zone, removal of fused material from fusion zone, afterburning of pre-mixed gaseous gasification products of wastes, cooling and cleaning of high-temperature flue gases. Solid wastes are gasified at the oxygen quantity close to stoichiometric one, and combustion of coke residue and ash fusion in fusion zone is performed in presence of gas-tight layer of coke residue, which separates the fusion zone from waste gasification zone. In addition, gaseous products and fused material are removed from fusion zone by means of co-current flows. Hydrocarbons are added to flow of gaseous products in the quantity which is sufficient for formation of reducing atmosphere in that flow and supplied to gasification chamber, and after that, to afterburning station, and after afterburning the high-temperature flue gases are supplied for heating of waste gasification zone without direct contact to the waste, and then for cooling and cleaning.
