SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the fishing industry and can be used in the artificial reproduction of valuable species of fish, particularly sturgeon. The method of cryopreservation of eggs of sturgeon lays in treatment with protective solutions, equilibration, freezing, thawing. Equilibration is carried out for 1.5 hours a temperature of 14-18° C, and as a protector, a mixture of sunflower oil and fish oil is used in the ratio 1:1 at a freeze rate of 1500°C/min. Thawing of the samples is carried out in distilled water at a temperature of 42-45°C for 45-75 seconds until the liquid fraction.

EFFECT: use of the claimed invention enables to improve the quality of defrosted eggs of sturgeon, as well as to create cryobanks with samples of genetic material.
