FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises, at least, one acceleration transducer to interact with processing device 32. At least, one acceleration transducer is arranged on rolling stock unit running gear. Transducer detection direction includes, at least, one component parallel with vertical axis (direction z) of rolling stock unit. Acceleration transducer generates measurement signal incorporating component corresponding to free fall acceleration (g), or signal corresponding to free fall acceleration (g). Note here that processing device comprises acceleration transducer test subprogram intended for error signal modulation is measurement signal generated by acceleration transducer does not contain component corresponding to free fall acceleration (g), or signal corresponding to free fall acceleration (g) and serves to suppress error signal if it not that. Invention relates also to method of controlling rolling stock unit running gear damages that exploits aforesaid acceleration transducer interacting with said processing device.
