FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in melting, metal heating, tapping metal into steel ladle, oxidising metal into steel ladle, in adding materials, in out-of-furnace treatment, and in finishing metal by chemical composition. Further slag is formed, metal is blasted with argon and tapped. After production of a sectional work-piece, it is heated, rolled into rod for further re-rolling, cooled in a line of water cooling, wound with a laying coiler and cooled on a roller conveyor. Out-of-furnace treatment is carried out in terms of presence of the following components in finished metal, in interval 0.82-0.90 % of carbon, not more 0.015% of phosphorus, and 0.50-0.65 % of manganese. Upon out-of-furnace treatment contents of carbon, manganese and phosphorus is determined in metal with a ladle sample. The sectional work-piece is rolled to required dimensions; also modes of rolling are specified on base of contents of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, diametre of rod and required ultimate strength.
EFFECT: production of steel with required ultimate strength, minimal contents and dimension of non-metallic inclusions.
