FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: test of workpiece for drawing to shell walls through any angle of up to 90° of horizontal plane is performed so that shell edges remain flat. Press tool with puncheon, die and hold-down clamp is used for the test as technical device. Press tool is installed on press equipment, and indicators are used as measuring instruments by means of which linear parameters and in addition angular parameters (after calculations) of shell geometry accuracy are determined with high accuracy.

EFFECT: development of technological test method of plate material for springing and parameter limits during drawing of shell with flange, which corresponds to workpiece form alteration scheme under production conditions on drawing operations of various parts from workpieces of large thicknesses and dimensions, which are made from high-strength plate materials, and which allows strict monitoring of material applicability for forming of parts of increased accuracy using these operations.
