FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of determining parameters of chemical activation of non-sprayable porous gettering agents involves heating the analysed gettering agent in a vacuum or in an atmosphere of an inert gas to temperature of chemical activation of the surface of the gettering agent, followed by cooling to room temperature. Pressure of the atmosphere, mass and temperature of the gettering agent are continuously measured. Activation temperature, time for achieving activation temperature and pressure of the analysed atmosphere at that temperature are determined by projecting minimum points on the curve of the mass of the gettering agent versus time onto the corresponding time curves.

EFFECT: high accuracy and faster measuring process.
