SUBSTANCE: identification carrier has a chip (2) whose configuration enable its personalisation and connection to subscription at a telecommunication facility operator, a support (4) bearing said chip (2), and connecting means (3), inseparably connected to connection leads of the chip and enabling connection thereof. Said support is such that the chip is embedded in it, and said connecting means pass through the resulting housing to a position lying outside the housing and capable of being connected. The present invention also relates to a method of making such an identification carrier, use of the latter in a telematic unit, as well as a telematic unit.
EFFECT: high reliability of contact between the carrier and electronic devices and protection of the carrier during operation in aggressive media.
