SUBSTANCE: what is presented is a bioengineered construct for tissue implantation consisting of at least two coupled devitalised layers of an extracellular matrix produced and formed by culture cells producing the extracellular matrix. The bioengineered constructs of the invention may be processed by various methods in order to enable devitalising and/or removing the bioengineered construct cells with no risk for the structural integrity of the constructs. Besides, the bioengineered constructs of the invention may be used if coupled with biocompatible/bioremodelled solutions for the purpose of various geometrical configurations.
