FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: ingots are made by semicontinuous casting. To remove residual stress, ingots are annealed in electric pit-type heating furnace with forced air ventilation at 270-300°C for ten hours. Prior to rolling, billets are heated in said furnace in two steps: at 270-300°C at first step for 14 h and at 360-400°C at second step for six hours. Duration of heating may not exceed 16 h. Hot rolling is carried out at total unit strain not lower that 50%.
EFFECT: no inverse anisotropy, high mechanical properties of sheets and plates.
