FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in manufacturing an armour arranged in the form of a structured ceramic panel. According to the method there are cuts made in a sheet element in specified areas. Then the sheet element is exposed to continuous deformation to produce a spatial structure and is fixed in such position. Then the produced spatial structure is placed into a die mould, which is filled with ceramic mass so that it fully covers the spatial structure. Afterwards the stock is ceramised to produce the armour with the specified topology of structural heterogeneity provided by the spatial structure shape. The armour is made to form holes filled with ceramic mass in process of panel formation provided between cuts.
EFFECT: higher reliability of a ceramic armour under multiple hits of damaging agents.
