FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: according to the first version, a high-density ceramic briquette has the body part extended in the longitudinal direction and stroke-receiving side face. The main part of the body part is circular or hexagonal in cross section. The stroke-receiving side face consists of the proximal and distal segment. The proximal segment is curved convexly. Distal segment is aligned with the upper surface of the body part, and consists of the area which includes a part that has a concave configuration, or areas including a flat angled configuration. Cross-sectional area of the distal segment in the closing area is greater than the cross- sectional area passing through nominally designated base of proximal segment. According to the second version, a high-density ceramic briquette includes a body part having an axis, the shape of cross-section, which is symmetrical around the axis, and an end portion which has an outer surface comprising the first and the second sections. The first section has a convex curvature. The second section passes around the axis of the body part and is located between the said first section and the body part. The second section has two circular edges and a configuration in which each intersection between the second section and the planes containing the axis of the body part, passes along the straight line. Versions of composite ballistic armor plate are provided with a layer numerous high-density ceramic briquettes, wherein the said briquettes are located as numerous adjacent rows and columns. Versions of method to obtain high-density ceramic briquette is to obtain high-density ceramic briquette by pressing method.
EFFECT: simplification of composite armor and increase of its survivability.
