FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: reinforcing additive contains iron-bearing material in the form of iron in the oxidised and restored form, binding and non-metallic minerals. At that as the iron-containing material in the oxidised form it contains hematite and magnetite, and in the reduced form - wustite and metallic iron, as the binder it contains fayalite in the following ratio, wt %: hematite 1.2-62.4, magnetite 2.0-15.0; wustite 1.0-37.0, metallic iron 0.5-12.0; fayalite 3.0-68.5, non-metallic minerals - the rest. And the content of total iron is 42.5-61.0%, and the ratio of iron in the oxidised and reduced form is 0.04-39.5.
EFFECT: obtaining hardening additive which effectively increases the strength of the pellets without reducing the iron content.
