FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of iron ore pellets. Charge is mixed from the initial raw material, granulated, thermally treated on a conveyor machine and the end product is screened. Iron-containing clinker is used as fluxing agent in charge, obtained in Waelz process of zinc-containing materials and wastes of ferrous metallurgy, having ratio of weight fraction of basic oxides (CaO+MgO) to weight fraction of acid oxides (SiO2+Al2O3) of more than 0.5 units, with content of zinc, sulfur, total (Na2O+K2O) and phosphorus of not more than 3 wt.%, 0.5 wt.%, 4 wt.% and 0.1 wt.%, respectively. Iron-containing clinker is added to the charge in dosage from 0.05 to 2.0 wt.%.
EFFECT: higher quality of pellets and recycling of zinc production wastes.
