FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method for tight connection of thin-walled corrugated shells consisting in using transition rings in areas of connection of end sections of corrugated shells, which are placed between grooves of extreme corrugations of joined sections. End parts of sections have cylindrical surfaces, and transition rings are also made with a cylindrical surface. End parts of joined sections are inserted inside transition rings at its both ends, forming a joint connection, afterwards the section is joined with a similar section or with reinforcement, and welded seams are arranged at the side of the inner surface of shells.
EFFECT: invention improves reliability of a joint.
