FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to neurology and neurosurgery. Electromyography (EMG) of extremities is performed. Ratio of mean amplitude of total EMG, registered in conditions of carrying out test "maximal arbitrary tension" and maximal amplitude of "motor response" of the same muscle, is determined for tested muscle. Obtained data are compared with the value of analogously calculated parameter of healthy person. If obtained value constitutes less than 30% parameter of healthy person, expressed functional failure of respective motor zone of cerebral cortex is diagnosed, in case of 30-70% - moderate failure and above 70% - light functional failure.
EFFECT: method extends arsenal of means for estimation of functional failure of motor zones of cerebral cortex.
