FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine and can be used in neurology and neurosurgery. Electroneuromyogram is registered. In quantitative processing of data for each muscle of affected extremities ratio of average amplitude of total ENMG, registered under conditions of performing test "maximal arbitrary tension", and amplitude of "motor response" of tested muscle is determined. Average value of said index is calculated for upper and lower extremities. It is compared with the value of similarly calculated index of healthy person and in case of obtained index lower than 25% from the level of the latter one, gross paresis is diagnosed, in case of 25-50% - moderate paresis and in case of higher than 50% - light degree of paresis.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase reliability of assessment of motor system functional status in case of central motoneuron affection.
