FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing silicon-rich water with silicon content of 1.4-2.5 g/l. The disclosed method involves saturating water with silicon by mixing drinking water with highly pure silicon dioxide for 10-12 hours at room temperature, followed by filtration of the obtained solution to remove residual silicon dioxide. The silicon dioxide used is Ethoxyl-melur-3 SiO₂ which is white powder with particle size of 0.125-0.315 mm with bulk specific gravity of 1.20 g/cm³, true specific gravity of 1.87 g/cm³ and weight ratio of SiO₂ of 99.7%. The disclosed method can also employ synthetic finely dispersed amorphous silicon dioxide SiO₂ with bulk specific gravity of 0.364 g/cm³, true specific gravity of 1.75 g/cm³ and purity of 99.1%, which is synthesised by hydrolysis of tetraethoxysilane.
