FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method and apparatus for treatment, including pretreatment, of liquid dung and biogas wastes, which enables removal of harmful components, particularly nitrogen, phosphorus and molecules of odorous substances. Process reservoirs (5), having inlet means (4), meant for feeding the substance to be treated into the process reservoirs (5), outlet means meant for outlet of treated substance from the reservoirs, as well as means (2) of feeding air, meant for feeding air into the process reservoirs needed for the biological process, are used for biological treatment of substance to be treated. The process reservoirs (5) are first filled with a population of microorganisms adapted to treat the fed substance. The substance to be treated is gradually loaded into the first process reservoir, and then from there into the next process reservoir such that the population of microorganisms, which was previously put into the process reservoirs, gradually displaces the primary population of microorganisms living in the treated substance. The substance, in which there are essentially no primary microorganisms and which is in the last process reservoir, is returned to the first process reservoir so as to dilute the substance to be treated. Downstream the process reservoirs, nitrogen is removed by feeding the treated substance from the process reservoir (5) into a stripping column (22A), wherein pH of the treated substance is increased by biological treatment to a value sufficient for removal of nitrogen.
EFFECT: invention increases economic efficiency of the process by excluding chemicals.
