FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to facilities for arrangement of carburetion in liquid-propellant rocket engines of low and especially low thrust (0.3-0.5 N) on self-igniting fuel components. The mixing head comprises a prechamber that expands towards the outlet with jet nozzles of an oxidant and a fuel, channels for supply of the oxidant and fuel. According to the invention, the prechamber at the section of jet nozzle supply has a mixing chamber with permanent area of the cross section equal to 1.0÷1.2 of the total area of the cross section of nozzles and length equal to the length of joint travel of jets to the end of the period of fuel liquid phase induction. Jet nozzles are preferably arranged with axes crossing at the angle of 45-65°, and the mixing chamber has a cylindrical shape and changes into a conical prechamber expanding to the outlet.
EFFECT: higher energy and dynamic properties due to more complete mixing of jets.
