FIELD: rocket construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocket construction, particularly, to mixing in engines of especially low thrust (1-2 H). Mixing head of a low-thrust liquid-propellant rocket engine consists of oxidizer and fuel supply channels, a mixing chamber with oxidizer and fuel jet nozzles, the cross-section square of which exceeds the total area of the oxidizer and fuel nozzles, and the length is equal to the length of joint travel of jets before the end of the liquid-phase induction period, herewith the nozzle of one of the fuel components is aligned with the mixing head, and nozzles of the second component are made in the side wall of the mixing head and arranged axially relative to the axis of the central nozzle. Mixing head can have nozzles of the second component placed strictly in the radial direction. Cross-section square of the mixing chamber is preferably equal to 1.0-1.2 of the total square of the oxidizer and fuel nozzles.
EFFECT: invention ensures more complete mixing of the oxidizer and the fuel in the mixing chamber.
