FIELD: rocket equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mixing heads of low-thrust and especially low thrust (0.3–0.5 N) liquid-fuel rocket engines on self-igniting fuel components. Mixing head consists of housing, jet nozzles of oxidizer and fuel with intersecting jets, mixing chamber with constant cross-sectional area, changing in zone of completion of liquid-phase induction into expanding to outlet forechamber. According to the invention, an annular bead is made in the expanding portion of the forechamber between the outlet from the mixing chamber and the outlet from the prechamber. Prechamber is made in the form of a conic cavity, in which the annular collar facing the cone axis is formed at the vertex of the thin-walled truncated cone fixed in the prechamber conical cavity. Area of cross-section of mixing chamber is in range 1.2–1.7 of total area of cross-sections of jet nozzles of oxidizer and fuel.
EFFECT: disclosed is mixing head of low-thrust liquid-fuel rocket engine.
