FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method describes a method for estimating impaired erythrocyte deformability in peripheral blood of pregnant women suffered aggravated herpes viral infection in the third trimester of gestation, involving the calculation of an erythrocyte deformability index with increasing the herpes virus antibody titre up to 1:12800, and decreasing the deformability index up to 0.02 standard units enables stating erythrocyte deformability as creating a threat of oxygen saturation of body tissues with the erythrocyte deformability index calculated by formula: wherein N is an erythrocyte count; S is an average area in mmc2 of one erythrocyte; m is a standard deviation; Dav is an average erythrocyte diameter; k is a coefficient of erythrocyte diameter variation.
EFFECT: method enables assessing the state of erythrocyte deformability in the pregnant women suffered aggravated herpes viral infection in the third trimester of gestation.
