SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to control failure of disconnection of a head circuit breaker (HCB) and disconnection of a sectional circuit breaker (SCB) of buses during operation of a ring network in the mode of substation redundancy. From the moment of short circuit current surge appearance in the line of the main source of power supply they count time equal to the time of SCB disconnection delay on the substation buses, and if upon the end of count of this time the voltage on the buses of the main source of supply and the short circuit current disappeared, a probing pulse is sent into the line at the side of the substation buses, and if it goes through the HCB of the line, the conclusion is made on the failure of disconnection of the line HCB and disconnection of the SCB of the substation buses. Therefore, if the proposed method is used, information may be received on the failure of the HCB disconnection on the line and disconnection of SCB of buses during operation of the ring network in the mode of substation redundancy.
EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities of the method by collecting information on the failure of the HCB disconnection on the line and disconnection of SCB of buses during operation of the ring network in the mode of substation redundancy.
