METHOD OF ESTIMATING STATE OF CERAMIC INSERTS Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B6/14 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular, to dentistry, and is intended for estimation of state of ceramic inserts after fixation. Visual examination of restoration is performed with application of dental mirror, probe and operation microscope. Estimated are: tooth sensitivity after treatment, presence of cracks on ceramic insert and on surfaces of tooth tissues visible with application of operation microscope and without application of special means, presence of restoration fracture, surface texture, development of secondary caries, occlusion and approximal contacts, marginal adaptation between insert, cement and enamel of tooth, state of fixing element. Estimation is performed by estimation scale. Each of criteria is analysed separately. In case of 0 mark state of ceramic insert is estimated as perfect. In case of mark 1, state of ceramic insert is estimated as acceptable with correction of defects. In case of mark 2 state of ceramic insert is estimated as satisfactory, with observation, correction of defects, in case of further aggravation, ceramic insert is substituted. In case of mark 3 state of ceramic insert is estimated as unsatisfactory and insert is immediately removed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to carry out accurate estimation of state of ceramic inserts for taking timely measures aimed at correction of detected defects due to carrying out estimation by estimation scale and performing analysis of each criterion separately.
