FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ash catchers, particularly, to heat recovery hydraulic ash catchers. It comprises inlet branch pipe, casing, outlet branch pipe, and settling chamber filled with water to the level of separation web immersed therein. Web bottom has lengthwise constant-spacing slots. Inlet gas duct is equipped with water sprinkler made up of manifold with atomisers whereto water is forced from screw pump via pipeline. Heat exchanger made up of pipe coil is arranged under separation web bottom. Overall dimensions of heat exchanger agree with chamber cross section sizes in plane perpendicular to web. Every atomiser comprises case, union and swirler aligned therewith. Said union diverging channel to feed fluid into cylindrical hole arranged axially symmetric about the case to smoothly change into shaped holes made up of Laval nozzle. Cylindrical swirler is fitted in the case cylindrical hole. Central axial bore with thread on inner surface directed opposite to that of channels is arranged along the swirler axis. Said swirler is fitted in the case via elastic gaskets and pressed by union-case thread joint.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of flue gas cleaning due to increased spraying surface area.
