FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: centrifuge includes the housing in which rotor with filter in the form of two coaxially located poppets is installed. Poppets have the shape of flattened cones the larger bases of which face each other so that a filtering slot is formed. Screw spiral conical screw installed inside the shell is connected to smaller base of lower poppet. Mechanism for rotor movement in axial direction is provided. Centrifuge is provided with bladed cap located above upper poppet. Cap is rigidly fixed on rotor. Through intake holes are made in each poppet.
EFFECT: enlarging the filter active intake zone of non-soluble impurities contained in surface layer of the melt.
