FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device has a prism for splitting the beam of stimulating fluorescence radiation directed through an optical waveguide towards an object and fluorescence radiation returning through the same waveguide directed by a splitting prism to a spectophotometer and passing through a light filter. The splitting prism has a mirror coating deposited on its light-reflecting surface, which lies inside the prism on part of the fluorescence radiation beam aperture, lying on the path of the beam of stimulating radiation and which totally reflects the beam of stimulating radiation.
EFFECT: reduced loss of fluorescence radiation.
