FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: filter has two serially and spatially spaced apart liquid crystal films with electrode systems which form in given areas of the liquid crystal films spatial optical anisotropy, which scatters transmitted radiation in the vertical plane, and a signal processing and control system which includes a sensor for detecting intensity and direction of arrival of polarised components of external optical radiation, a solution generating processor, a sensor detecting the position of external optical radiation receivers and a control device. The series of spatially spaced apart liquid crystal films, matched on the polarisation plane by orientation with one of the polarised radiation components, is placed in front of the series of liquid crystal films matched on the polarisation plane with another, orthogonal polarised radiation component and/or one is embedded into the other.
EFFECT: high efficiency and manufacturability and use of the antiglare filter, reduced loss, providing adaptability to sources of polarised and nonpolarised radiation.
