SUBSTANCE: display device has a display device substrate having an external connection lead and a bottom layer interconnection running below the external connection lead, an external connection component and a conducting element which electrically connects the display device substrate and the external connection component, wherein the external connection component has a connection part connected to the external connection lead through the conducting element; the display device substrate additionally has an interlayer insulator formed on a layer below the external connection lead, and a connection part for the interconnection, which is formed on a layer below the interlayer insulator, and which is connected to the external connection lead by a first connection hole in the interlayer insulator; and the first connection hole lies outside the region in which the connection part and the conducting element overlap each other, in form of the top of the display device.
EFFECT: narrowing the chassis of a display device while preventing disruption of connections.
