FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method allows liquefaction of dry natural gas containing water and heavy hydrocarbons with more than five carbon atoms. It comprises the following stages: a) forcing dry natural gas through water absorbing solid body to obtain water-depleted natural gas and solid body saturated with water; b) forcing water-depleted natural gas through solid body absorbing heavy hydrocarbons to obtain heavy hydrocarbon-depleted natural gas and solid body saturated with heavy hydrocarbons; c) liquefaction of heavy hydrocarbon-depleted natural gas at pressure exceeding 40 bar abs. to obtain liquid pressurised natural gas; d) decreasing produced liquid natural gas pressure to barometric pressure to obtain liquid natural gas and fluid fraction.
EFFECT: liquefaction at increased pressure, decreased demand in energy required for liquefaction.
