FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical method of producing titanium diboride nanopowders and may be used in making non-oxide ceramics for high-temperature electrolysis units for production of aluminium. Said powders are produced by pulsed anodic-cathodic polarisation of titanium in fused eutectic mix of cesium and sodium chlorides containing 0.2 to 2.0 wt % of boron oxide at 810-840 K in atmosphere of argon.
EFFECT: simplified process, higher yield.
