FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method provides for formation of a rated mode of operation of a heat emission power-generating channel (PGC) in order to assess quality of its manufacturing and set the initial mode for performance of the planned trials, and uses comparison of the registered stationary volt-ampere characteristic incline and its comparison with the rated volt-ampere characteristic.

EFFECT: possibility to do trials of multi-element heat emission power-generating channels outside a reactor during assessment of quality of their manufacturing and in performance of trials to survey potential modes of their operation, including heat emission and space nuclear power plants.
