FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: system comprises, installed on the facility and operably connected in series, a radio signal receiver, a radio signal identifying device, a device for recording the time when radio signals are received, a device for measuring time difference Δt between time instants when radio signals are received from different stations, an information processing subsystem, wherein phase centres of antennae of a ground-based six-station transmitting subsystem are arranged in a certain manner, and the information processing subsystem also includes a computer configured to determine spatial coordinates using given simple expressions which depend on Δt. High accuracy is achieved also owing to the computer being able to select from the set of versions of coordinates of the facility provided in the invention at each point in space having the best accuracy.
EFFECT: high efficiency of determining coordinates of corresponding radio complexes, possibility of varying configuration of their coverage areas depending on the set task and relief features of the surrounding area.
