FIELD: fire-extinguishing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-extinguishing powder compositions, which can be used for extinguishing all types of fire in chemical, petrochemical, coal and woodworking and other branches of industry. Fire-extinguishing powder based on aluminosilicate microspheres represents narrow fractions of hollow spherical granules with the average diameter within the range 2-230 mcm, envelope of hollow aluminosilicate microspheres representing composite glass crystalline material of the following composition, wt %: aluminosilicate glass phase 57-92, mullite phase 1-42, quartz phase 1-9. Fire-extinguishing powder on the basis of alluminosdilicate microspheres is isolated from flue ash and cenospheres of flue ash from burning coal with application of granulometric separation or aerodynamic classification.
EFFECT: high fluidity, low susceptibility to moisture absorption, absence of tendency to caking, satisfactory fire-extinguishing ability.
