FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: gas nozzle of the welding blowpipe is made in the form of a convergent tube, consisting of curvilinear and two straight-line portions at the inlet and outlet of the nozzle with an inner surface in the form of a parabolic curve, whose beginning and end asymptotically tend toward a straight-line parallel to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle. At the same time, the nozzle edge at the outlet is made with a rake angle of 10-45°. The length of the straight-line portion at the inlet is within the interval 0.1-1.2 of the nozzle inlet diameter. The length of the straight-line portion at the outlet is within the range 0.2-1.5 of the nozzle outlet diameter. The nozzle edge at the outlet has a thickness in the range 0.2-1 mm.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of gas protection of a welding zone during arc welding in a protective gas environment under wind conditions by increasing the velocity and the rigidity of the protective gas jet.
