FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making tire rubber element and to method of making air tire. Proposed method comprises attaching first end section of rubber band to cylindrical object. Then, rubber band is coiled onto cylindrical object. Then, second end section of rubber band is secured on to coiled rubber band produced at coiling step. Note here that end surfaces of said first and second end sections have front end edge extending horizontally over band width. Then, said end sections are clamped by band cutter. Note here that cutter clamping section is composed of round column with axis extending in parallel with cutter cutting edge and has clamping surface inclined to extend upward from cutting edge base. Rubber band is cute so that clamping surface clamps ends of band sections being cut to form inclined surface on every band every end. Note here that inclined surface angle Θ in cross-section perpendicular to front end edge varies from 10 to 80 degrees relative to rubber band surface.

EFFECT: higher uniformity of tire, ruled out forming defects.
