FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to diagnostics of air control valves. Proposed method consists in reducing pressure in brake line during testing the brakes with brakes release and pressure increase in brake line. Then, pressure reduction is set to 1.9-2.5 kgf/cm2 of the charge pressure with time lag for entire train. Time is set subject to the number of mounted axles. Release is performed to magnitude some 0.5-1.5 kgf/cm2 lower than charge pressure with time lag.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
