SUBSTANCE: method involves passing a stream of liquid or gas through an apparatus fitted with point permanent magnets, on whose surface ferromagnetic particles accumulate and are torn off by a stream in form of large agglomerates. The process of accumulation of particles on the surface of the point permanent magnets is controlled by changing the conditions for flow of the stream of liquid or gas on the surface of the point permanent magnets. Before processing, a binding component is fed into the stream of liquid or gas.

EFFECT: efficient removal of ferromagnetic particles of different magnetic susceptibility from a stream of liquid or gas.
