FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method for reference resonance formation at hyperfine transitions from normal state of alkali-metal atom based on effect of coherent population trapping in bichromatic laser field envisages selection of the excitation mode by laser having emission bandwidth "ГL" on the assumption that "ГL" ≤γ, where γ is value of excitation spontaneous decay. The suggested method for reference resonance formation allows using cells without antirelaxation coating and buffer gas.
EFFECT: cheapening of the method for reference resonance formation at hyperfine transitions from normal state of alkali-metal atom.
